Students Show Leadership Skills at Conference
Students from Bayside, Cocoa Beach, Edgewood, and Melbourne high schools joined students from two other Central Florida counties and recently participated in the 10th annual Students in Action leadership
and marketing and using media to promote their service projects. Students also participated in two service projects that benefitted the Crosswinds Youth Services in Cocoa and Nemours Hospital
conference hosted by the Jefferson Awards Foundation. This year’s event, held at the School
inOrlando. Students donated over 1300 toys and toiletries for the service projects.

of Central Florida’s LEAD Scholars Academy. This selective two year leadership program is for students committed to academic excellence and to making a difference in the world around them.
