After learning about Burmese pythons, it’s not hard to see why someone might want to own one as a pet. The problem is that these snakes can grow as long as a bus and as wide as a telephone pole! When a pet owner’s snake has gotten too big to handle, they often release it into their backyard. This might not seem like
a big deal, but it’s very bad news for nearby animals.
