 Conclusion
Even though you’ve reached the end of this book, there are still so many other ways to learn about these amazing reptiles.
Visit your local library and pick up other books about snakes, or with help from an adult, research snake facts online. There’s also your local zoo or wildlife center, and you can even find snakes in your own backyard or local park! Just remember to give any snake that you see plenty of space (a distance of at least 6 ft. (1.8 m)) and never try to touch or pick one up.
These animals are often misunderstood. Even in places where snakebites
aren’t a big problem, many people
are scared about getting bitten or
hurt. Talk to your family and friends about what you learned, your favorite snakes, and how to stay safe around them. Remember, most snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them, and they will only bite if they

feel threatened or if you get too close to them. Share what you’ve learned and stay curious. Maybe one day you will be the next person to turn venom into medicines or find a new snake species! The possibilities are endless.
