District Saves Money, Time, and Trees
Costs for schools continue to rise year over year, at the same time state funding is pulled from schools. As a result, school districts must find innovative ways to cut costs without impacting critical resources and programs. So how can school districts cut costs without impacting school performance or operational effectiveness?
One way is the implementation of a virtual backpack delivery system. Last year BPS chose Peachjar to deliver important information to parents’ email addresses.
With an implementation time of less than ten hours required to implement Peachjar’s digital flyer approval and delivery system,
the return on investment begins immediately. Parents begin receiving information directly, backpacks are lighter, and teachers and staff have more time to focus on core job functions.
With over
74,000 students
and 82 schools,
BPS introduced Peachjar at the start of the 2016 school year. “Peachjar has enabled our schools to take that allotted time and rededicate it back to our school communities to best serve our students,” said Abby Rex, media and content coordinator.
Over the past year, BPS has saved 5,110,763 sheets of paper and 614 trees - that’s some social-media-worthy news. So, this Earth Day, our district can rest assured that it’s doing its part to protect the environment and district budget.
