Nintendo Wii
Today’s kids are no stranger to The Nintendo Company. They’ve created many games and devices to play with. However, the original Nintendo Wii is where t all began.
Nintendo Wii is a game console that rivaled the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It came out in 2006 but gained popularity starting in 2008. It offers a wide variety of games to choose from and supports multiple players as well. This console is a fun and entertaining game and is still common to find today, although many
changes have been made since the original.
This console continues to be successful through children and teens of all
ages today. While it is no longer being updated, the console still remains in demand.
Beyblades
As a kid, Beyblades were the best thing to play with when you were bored. You would sit down and there would be a Beystadium where the battling would happen. In one hand, you would have your Beyblade, designed and crafted by you. In the other, you would have the Beylauncher ready to make your Beyblade a spinning projectile. Then, everyone counts down and shouts “Let it rip!” and the tournament would begin as the Beyblades hit each other, competing to be the last one standing.
Beyblades were first launched in 1999. There was a comic for kids who played with them, as well as a video game that was released for Nintendo’s Game Boy. Even with all that effort, it didn’t become popular until 2002, when the TV cartoon series aired. This caused a Beyblade frenzy, with stores wiped of all of these toys. Sometimes people would stand in line for three hours trying to get a good Beyblade.
These toys were great for children of all ages. You could design, create, and battle with them, playing for hours on end. Seeing a Beyblade isn’t as common anymore, but they definitely deserve to be recognized.
Rainbow Loom
DIYs are a popular phenomenon today, however, this idea isn’t new. Rainbow Loom is an example of an early DIY project, a toy that could be used to make your own jewelry. This idea was very popular among young girls because they enjoyed the customization and experience of making something of their own.
Rainbow Loom first came out in 2010, but became popular in 2013. The kit included a loom, hook, clips to attach the end of the bracelets, and small rubber bands in assorted colors. These small bands were used to create bracelets and necklaces. Kids would enjoy finding different patterns to create many different designs. This is part of the reason why Rainbow Loom became so popular.
Rainbow Loom has earned its popularity and continues to be a hit today. This is a well recognized toy and won’t be forgotten any time soon.
