Hello and welcome back for the second and final semester of this 2018- 2019 school year. The first half of this year was packed with work but it seemed to fly by. For seniors like myself, high school will be over in just over four months. For all others, there is a transition that will happen at the end of this school year some big, some small. For seventh graders, this will be the last semester of being the “new” kids at school. Eighth graders are completing their last semester of middle school and the high school path is both exciting and frightening. Freshmen and Sophomores are in similar positions, moving on to more difficult years after this semester. Be sure to cherish the classes you have now as it is bound to get more difficult. For juniors, this is the last semester before the finale that is senior year. While it can be scary to look out on what is ahead, I urge you all to apply some bit of thought. As a senior, my final semester means I’m that much closer to the exciting life of opportunities that lies beyond the gates surrounding 180 E. Merritt Avenue. People often stress about living in the now but try looking to what lies ahead of you; take the experiences that only Edgewood could give you, the good and the bad, and exemplify what you everything that you ever wanted to be.
