2800 Subpoenas. A subpoena is a legal document which compels someone to appear and give testimony or produce
     documents.
500Search warrants. When prosecutors want information, they can present their reasons to a judge who can issue a
search warrant. This allows investigators to search homes, 199offices, cell phones, or any other location.
Criminal counts. The office of the special counsel charged 37 different people and entities with 199 individual criminal counts.
252Months. Robert Mueller was appointed as special counsel on May 17, 2017. At less than two years, it was one of the
shortest special investigations in modern history.
People sent to prison. Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, businessman Richard Pinedo, Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, and Dutch lawyer Alex van der Zwaan were all sentenced to prison terms as a result of the
$25M investigation.
Estimated cost. Although updated figures are not complete, it is known the investigation spent more than $25 million and maybe as much as $32 million. However, some of the criminal cases resulted in the convicted individuals forfeiting assets. Paul Manafort alone agreed to forfeit around $42 million in assets as part of his plea deal.
