Firefighters Benevolent
hold 3rd Annual Chili
Cook Off
Brevard County Firefighters Benevolent association held its 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off at the Avenues of Viera on Feb. 16. They had over 20 contestants in four different cook-off categories, including best white, best red, people’s choice, and most unique.
Contestants were all from various Brevard County fire stations, as well as from the City of Rockledge Fire Department.

 Brevard County Firefighters Benevolent raised an amazing
$2,000 and split these profits between their benevolent charity and with Driven by Heart, a Melbourne-based cancer support charity.
Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization Welcomes New GIS Analyst,
Chelsea Forgenie
The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization recently welcomed Chelsea Forgenie to its team as the organization’s GIS (geographic information system) Transportation Analyst. Forgenie is a recent Florida Institute of Technology graduate. Her experience using GIS software began during her undergraduate studies while using GIS
technology to advance sustainability initiatives on campus.
While pursuing her graduate degree in Computer Information Systems, she acquired firsthand experience building geodatabases, using spatial analyst tools, and experiencing the power of GIS software. Her passion for GIS continued to grow while working on a project that focused on the analysis of road
