Have you seen the fresh, new design for Florida’s Support education specialty license plate? Its bright and breezy artwork is as refreshing as a day at the beach! Not only will this new plate add some seaside sparkle to your vehicle, but it will also show your support for education. Best of all, $20 from each tag sale or renewal in our county goes directly to Brevard Schools Foundation for Bright Ideas Classroom Grants to help teachers fund innovative and creative projects in their class- rooms. Food & Nutrition Services
Food & Nutrition Services has launched a new “Serving Up Happiness” initiative to encourage positive attitudes and interactions between cafeteria staff and students to foster a pleasant dining experience. You can spot caf- eteria staff wearing sunny yellow shirts with the smile logo (hidden in the FNS logo) on the back. Going along with “Serving Up Happiness,” FNS will be celebrating World Smile Day on October 4 by providing students and faculty free potato smile fries in their school lunch line. Also in October, cafeterias will be celebrating National School Lunch Week. The theme this year is “What’s On Your Playlist.” If you’d like to be an Honorary Cafeteria Rock Star and volunteer your time to help serve students or put on a musical performance at a school, please contact Meagan Happel, Marketing Coordinator - FNS.
