Titusville Cha er
The 2017 calendar year has been an exci ng one at Adult Ed-Titusville! The spring semester saw us waving goodbye to a couple of old friends with joy and pride in our hearts and tears in our eyes.
The rst farewell came when Chirayu “Chintu” Patel success- fully completed GED tes ng to receive his diploma. Chintu, who also volunteers at Parrish Med- ical Center, was able to defeat his physical disabili es in order to graduate. No student at our school has worked harder or per- severed more in order to com- plete their degree. While we are
proud of all of our students’ accomplishments, Chintu’s really were special for us because we saw his amazing work ethic on a daily basis over several years. Way to go, Chintu. We miss you.
The next goodbye was really a “good Knight”! Long me student Alexus Knight made the decision to switch from Adult High School over to GED during the spring. Once she made up her mind to make this change, there was no stopping Alexus. In just a few short months, Ms.
COMMUNITY CLASSES ARE BACK!
Knight had passed all four sec- ons of the GED and was riding o into a bright future where the sky’s the limit.
Returning to school in the fall is always exci ng and this year was no di erent, although this one brought us a strange sense of déjà vu!
Like her iden cal twin sister be-
fore her, Alivia Knight was about
to leave the friendly con nes of our humble li le school to make her mark on the world. Choosing a di erent path from her sister, Alivia decided to gain her diploma by comple ng her high school credits, which she did in early October. This hard-working young lady was able to complete all four classes she needed in less than two months. Talk about pu ng your nose to the grindstone. Wow! Another Knight set loose on the world.
2017 has been magical for all of us here at Adult Ed- Titusville and you can be sure that there will not be a dry eye in the “Lake House” when these three amazing young people move across the stage in December to re- ceive what they worked so hard to achieve. Well done!
