“The right direction in fundraising” is more than a tagline for The Compass Group. It is a
mantra that we have adhered to since our firm’s founding in 1993.
Compass began with a vision of transforming nonprofit organizations through increasingly
individualized solutions. Today - with the same guiding principles on which we were founded
                                - we maintain that the right direction is our guide star, and the right direction is not always
the same for everyone. As such, we build relationships, strategically assess, and thoughtfully
incorporate the specific resources and unique priorities of Compass clients to ensure
philanthropic success at the highest, most specialized level. In doing so, we have garnered a
strong reputation and even stronger results.

Our portfolio expands into multiple sectors that intersect historic theaters - including preservation, performing arts, history,
and culture. And in our more than twenty-five years, we have guided over 150 mission-driven organizations of varying
scales, resulting in more than $2 billion in philanthropic gifts.

Theatre Consultants Collaborative is a team of industry veterans and creative thinkers who
joined forces in 2003 to assist our clients through the complex process of theatre programming,
planning and design, as well as the design and integration of specialized performance systems.
Our goal as The Collaborative is to connect with users, architects and engineers to craft
exciting and unique venues where performance comes to life - whether historic restoration,
renovation or new construction. Through our work, we help translate the exacting design criteria
of a performance space into a physical form that enhances that fundamental relationship
between performer and patron. In many cases, our work entails balancing the preservation of
period architectural details with the subtle and seamless addition of new public amenities and
                                performance technologies.
Let’s benefit from each other’s expertise; have The Collaborative build a bridge between live performance, architecture,
and engineering. We’ll work hard to help you imagine, create and shape the performance space you need to inspire your
        performers and audience. Performance. Connected.
