The TEAM concept continues to impress me five years after I first became involved. The key values of honesty, respect, open mindset, and diligence enable everyone in the core group to benefit from each other’s methods and knowledge. This association brings the expression ‘continuous improvement’ to life and discourages stagnation.
TEAM provides a fantastic platform for developing members, not only with the problem-solving tools, TPS etc but also in challenging the way we think. I have watched my team in Grupo Antolin grow in experience and confidence as they have successfully used the tools not only in TEAM events but also in everyday work.
This environment has provided us with an abundance of ideas to help us improve our business, and in my experience the closer we embrace TEAM the stronger we become.

I have been involved in TEAM for over 15 years, covering various roles from Management Sponsor to TEAM Chairman. Throughout this period, TEAM has changed many times and truthfully speaking, not always for the best. But, in recent years TEAM has seen a transformation that has given huge benefit to every company willing to fully participate.
With true commitment, it does undoubtably pave the way for improving our competitiveness. Being a member of the TEAM organisation also takes a huge commitment from the Managing Director, Management Sponsor and not least, your TEAM Champion. The work required from your Champion is demanding, but also very rewarding for their development, and it gives them a real sense of achievement that they are adding value back into their place of work.
TEAM in 2020 showed their resolve in continuing with their core group meetings via video and conferencing throughout the pandemic, and although it was challenging at first, the results were outstanding, with some substantial financial returns achieved for their companies. I am very honoured to be part of such an organisation, and very proud of all the champions and their work ethic.

TEAM is a unique concept in the automotive industry to develop suppliers with a Win-Win approach. TEAM is a great opportunity to grow and develop our Company through the TPS methodologies.
Toyotomi Europe has been involved in TEAM since 2013 and has learned a lot of methodological tools such as: TBP – Practical Problem Solving – Standardization Work and M&I. Thanks to the workshop activities, our staff learn by doing.
This member development is the foundation that allows Toyotomi to improve its competitiveness, productivity, quality and safety.
The networking is another pillar of TEAM. We can share our best practices to improve together. During my 8 years of activities with TEAM, I have had opportunities to work with other suppliers and Toyota members in a spirit of sharing and trust. This technical and human networking can be a great help in our professional life.

I have been involved within the TEAM process for 7 years.
Ensuring the respect of the compliance rules, this unique organization gives us the opportunity:
- to network between non competing companies,
- to get coaching to ensure management control sustainability,
- to get coaching of the main principles of the Toyota Production System to improve our competitiveness, and to finally reach the ultimate goal to be self-reliant.
Many examples of self-reliance can be identified during the Core Group meetings. For example, it is a pleasure to see members first automatically checking if STANDARDS are existing, if they are clear & do-able, before checking if they are DEPLOYED and ENFORCED, in order to propose associated Kaizen ideas.
Individual member development certainly is one of the main benefits of TEAM.
My role within TEAM and within Valeo Group is to ensure member development for better Safety, Quality and Competitiveness to drive Toyota final customers satisfaction.
