   LEVENT CANSU – FICOSA PLANT MANAGER TEAM TURKEY REGION CHAIRMAN
FICOSA has been a proud member company of TEAM since 2011. Throughout this period, 11 Ficosa members have had the chance to take the roles of Champion, Senior Management Sponsor, MD, Core Group Coach and Regional Executive in the TEAM organization.
The many participations in the networking events hosted by the other member companies in TK region and also TOYOTA plants, provide us with the industry best practices. All these activities are supporting our company development through our Management Control items. With TEAM support, our shopfloor management systems are being reinforced by TBP, M&I, Dojo, Henkaten, TPM and Internal Logistics applications, that resulted in a strong development of our competitiveness level. At the same time, members’ skills and the Safety First approach are being developed throughout each level of our organization.
The TEAM development footprint is a very efficient learning methodology.

Farplas has been in TEAM since 2011. Also, I have been working in TEAM since 2011. This adventure, which I started as a member of the Farplas internal support and publishing team, continued with SMS, MD and Core Group Executive Coach duties, respectively.
Personally, I believe that my competencies, perspective and network have improved a lot thanks to this activity. At the same time, I can clearly say that this development is directly reflected in my own career journey.
As Farplas, we have gained a very important change in perspective on occupational safety issues and spread this to our colleagues in our factory. In addition, we have made great gains with the continuous improvement of our problem-solving techniques and field efficiency improvement skills.
I would like to thank Toyota and all TEAM members for their contribution to our development. We will continue to be a permanent member of this organization.

As explained in its mission, TEAM creates very important opportunities for its suppliers to develop, by giving them the chance to mutually implement good practices in their companies.
At Akoğlu, we are continuously reducing manufacturing lead time (improved material flow) with M&I methodology and developing our problem-solving abilities with the TBP method. In addition, TEAM is a good platform for learning and developing through networking for the members who participate in this activity. Henkaten Management, Visual Control Center and Problem Solving on the Shop floor are just some of our practice examples through TEAM.
We also see the value of all of these activities very clearly in our business results.
I would like to thank Toyota and TEAM member companies for all their efforts in keeping high level competitive suppliers in the sector.

Our core group was established in FY2020. TEAM is a completely new experience for us.
Even though we worked together for only 1 year, my Company has already benefitted from our membership:
• Opportunity to share best practices amongst plants.
• Expansion of networks amongst production companies.
• Increasing competitiveness globally.
• Stronger relationship with the customer.
I also see great opportunities for my own professional and personal growth through:
• Opportunity to learn/ understand Toyota’s approach to improve business processes in depth.
• opportunity to exchange views on current problems with plants of another Toyota’s suppliers.
• expanding the network with like-minded people.
Despite the challenging year 2020, I feel that TEAM has added meaning, guidance, involvement, and positiveness to my daily work. I want to continue to feel it!
