Another busy year planned for the Northern Club –
watch out for our second Young Breeders Day and
Bronic Club Open Day.
Northern Club Sales
Trade has been good throughout the year especially for rams,
some sales will have seen females a little up and down. The
commercial Beltex lamb still seems at the forefront of the
butchers market for both UK butchers and export orders.
Skipton Sale
The 23rd Annual Show and Sale of pedigree Beltex for The
Northern Club at CCM Auctions is still a well-supported date in
the calendar.
Hitting the headlines was a brace of shearling rams from the
Greens, Lelliesleaf, that stood first and second in their show class.
The winner, Greenall Harvey Wallbanger went on to secure the
Male, then Supreme Championship and 8000gns top call, while
the runner-up tapped out as Reserve Male Champion before
claiming second top spot on price of 4500gns. The Greens also
had the leading pen average of £3075.
The Whitefords claimed overall reserve champion with a
shearling ewe named Tercrosset Honeycomb selling for
1000gns.

Supreme Champion Greenall Harvey Wallbanger ET
Kendal Sale
This year was our 11th sale at Kendal Auction Mart held in
conjunction with the Saturday Breeding Sheep Sale.
The pre-sale show judge, Nick Brown of the Bronic flock, awarded
the Overall Championship rosette to Ainstable Hopscotch from
Brian Hall. This shearling ewe went on to sell at 1000gns.
The Reserve Champion was awarded to Wannop’s Hercules
consigned by the Wannop Family, selling for 1200gns.
