Open Day – Ainstable
Brian Hall and family kindly hosted the club’s annual Open Day.
Another great event with a tremendous show of stock to view,
sheep and cattle. We held a range of competitions, Brian’s top
pen for Carlisle was on show and we had a tractor ride round the
fields.
Thank you to everyone at Ainstable for hosting a great day, all
the open day sponsors and everyone who visited.
Flock Competition
This year’s flock competition was held in October. The judge
Andrew Wood travelled far and wide visiting 11 flocks. The
Champion Small Flock was Langlands with the Asquith Flock
taking Reserve. Champion Large Flock was Wannop’s with
Borderesk in Reserve.
Overall Champion went to Wannop’s Farm with Langlands
taking Overall Reserve.
Thank you to Andrew for judging and everyone who competed,
your sheep were a credit to you all. New entries welcome for the
2024 competition.
