Primestock Shows
Primestock shows, winter fairs and livestock events continue to
be very well supported and promote the best of British food and
farming. Local auction marts continue to obtain great prices for
stock with support from local butchers, wholesalers and
supermarket buyers.
Well done to everyone!
Thank you again to everyone for their continued support over
the past year and we look forward to working with you in the
future.
Finally, the committee would like to thank all members and
everyone involved in the previous years events, we wish
everyone a very successful 2024! #beltexisbest
Hannah Brown Young Stockmanship Trophy
Sadly in March 2021 Hannah lost her life to Sepsis. Hannah was
a familiar face in the Beltex world and a great show woman, in
her memory the Northern Club introduced The Hannah Brown
Stockmanship Trophy.
This trophy is eligible for young breeders under 26 years of age
that show continued passion, enthusiasm and commitment
throughout the year at shows, sales and events.
This year’s winner is happy to help anyone with any job whether
it is in the show ring or selling raffle tickets. This young lady
enjoys preparing and showing sheep on the summer and winter
circuit plus this year won Champion Young Handler at the
Borderway AgriExpo.
2023 winner is Rosie Garth.
