GREAT YORKSHIRE SHOW
11 -14
JULY
Fresh from securing the Supreme honours at the Royal
Highland Show the previous month, Liam Swinnerton saw
entries from his flock claim many of the top prizes at the
Great Yorkshire and, remarkably, the Supreme ticket but
with a different animal.
Leading the way in Harrogate under judge Kenny Preston, of the
Glenpark Flock, was his shearling ewe named Lipley Hey Good
Lookin’ ET which actually has the same breeding as the Highland
Show champion being by the 12,000gns Ardstewart Fred
Flintstone and out of Woodies Eye Candy ET, a Bailey Brook CR7
daughter.
She won a strong shearling ewe class – with another from the
Lipley Flock in second – before going on to stand Female
Champion and then Supreme but proving the breeding’s worth
was the fact two full embryo lamb siblings the same way bred
won red tickets in their respective classes.
Leading the ram lambs and standing Reserve Male was Lipley
Juggernaut ET, with Lipley Just The One ET winning the ewe
lambs.
Taking the Reserve Supreme honours was the Male Champion,
a shearling ram named Stonehills Herbert from Jackie Riby,
