SKIPTON SALE
2
SEPTEMBER
BRACE OF BROTHERS BEAT ALL
A pair of full brothers from north of the Border led the way
at the Northern Beltex Club’s show and sale at CCM Skipton
on Friday and Saturday, 1 and 2 September, when they not
only claimed the Male Champion and Reserve tickets, but
also went on to secure the top two prices of 8000gns and
4500gns.
Consigned by John and Emma Green, together with sons,
Gilbert and William, from near Lilliesleaf, Melrose, the sale
leader was the Male and Supreme Champion, Greenall Harvey
Wallbanger ET which is by the £10,000 private purchase,
Heatheryhall Fireman Sam, and out of the Rathbone Tony-sired
Artnagullion Amber. After some strong bidding, he was knocked
down to the Belfield family who run the Boothlow Flock near
Sheen, Buxton.
Notably, the Reserve Male Champion that sold for the second
highest price of 4500gns was a full embryo brother in the shape
of Greenall Hells Bells ET which this time sold to F & JS Gargett,
Westwick, Barnard Castle.
The four-figure prices kept coming for the Greens, whose pen of
seven cashed in to average £2929 thanks to a duo at 2500gns
each. First and selling to Tim Hunter for his Skelton Whin Flock
on Bridlington Road, Hunmanby, Filey, was Greenall Houblon
which is by the 7000gns Skipton purchase, Artnagullion Feux,
and out of Beautry Tansy, a Rathbone Leader daughter.
Matching that 2500gns was another by the Feux ram, Greenall
Hector, which this time is out of the Dean Brow Carlos-bred
Greenall Fiddlestocks. He heads to near Little Thorpe, Ripon, with
Rodney Brothers Plant.
Supreme Champion and sale leader at 8000gns was

ET, which made 4500gns
Greenall Houblon was one of two at 2500gns for the Greens
