5.5 Studying the Timetable
The main function of a school is to organize teaching-learning of different classes
and different teaching subjects. It requires a daily schedule of the teaching
process. In our profile period, we have seen that the school timetable is prepared
in two forms: Class-wise school timetable and teacher-wise. Thus, the school
timetable is the chart in a school showing the daily allotment of time among the
several subjects, activities, and classes.
Class Timetable
This is the most familiar timetable in the school. This timetable contains all the
allocations of subject teachers for the working days in the week for a particular
class. We observed that each class has an individual class-wise timetable. It
contains a 45-minute time slot for each subject.
