elcome to the 2021 virtual lightweight fill conference, I am
WBrad Keelor, the Executive Director of the ASCE Geo-Institute.
Over the past year and a half we have certainly learned more
about our virtual world than any of would have ever thought.

One thing you will notice with this conference is that we planned
more fun while we learn from each other. Prepare yourself to
have a good time on this interactive virtual platform.

Points, points and more points – gather points and watch your
status on the leaderboard. The top twenty high point attendees
during the conference will be entered into a drawing for a top
prize of $500. You can gather points as you visit the exhibitors, drop your business card, visit the
lobby and attend various speaker sessions.

The complete agenda, abstract summaries and speaker bios are listed in the conference flip
book. This is a very full program and the good thing is that you will be able to view and obtain
many PDH credits as you desire because you will be able to view any of the presentations over
the next 30 days at your leisure and become more experienced in lightweight fill materials and a
chance to virtually meet the speakers. Your attendance is automatically recorded and the PDH
credits will be distributed toward the end of November 2021 allowing all attendees to view any
missed presentations.

We certainly want to thank all of the exhibitors for their continued support of the ASCE G-I and
the organizers of this conference who have committed to donate all net proceeds to the G-I
Student fund. This specially created fund contributes a stipend to students showing an interest in
geotechnical studies to attend some of the great events sponsored by the institute.
