THE PRINCESS ANNE THEATRE
NPA AND BAFTA PRESENT PATROLLING THE MARGINS 3: FILMFOUR LAB
In the final event in the
Patrolling the Margins
strand, we are delighted to welcome a distinguished panel of practitioners who will come together to discuss the impact of digital produc- tion on them and their approach to film-making.
Robin Gutch from FilmFour Lab will introduce three filmmakers who have made digital films with the Lab over the last year. Laura Hastings-Smith, producer with Dazed and Confused of stopforaminute.com will dis- cuss the challenges of run- ning a project that created 30 one minute films for the web. Chris Cooke will explain the process of mak- ing his poignant and comic short film Shifting Units. Finally, Director Dom Rotheroe, will show excerpts from his feature debut My Brother Tom,
following its successful inter- national premiere in compe- tition at Rotterdam.
This is a unique opportu- nity to watch and hear about three very different approaches to digital film- making. The panellists will come together to discuss further their views and the new opportunities facilitated by digital technologies. Sponsored by Sony
