A s many of you may know, First4Media is the main
distributor for Fuji Motion Picture film. The ever-helpful and ever-smiling Dave

The Production Show
T his year’s exhibition was held from May
20 - 22 at the National Hall, Olympia. Fujifilm attendees were
Millie Morrow, Jackie Spadaccini, Christina Pedersen and Richard Pun.
It was nice to see some new and old faces among the crowds this year and a great way to meet up and have a chat with customers. ■
Skandia Cowes Week
F uji Motion Picture proudly part-sponsored a yacht at this
year’s Skandia Cowes Week, one of the largest and most prestigious international sail-
ing regattas.
The event, running from August 2-
9, attracted around a thousand boats with 8000 crew members competed against each other in yachts ranging from hi-tech racing machines to clas- sic day boats.
On board the part-sponsored Fuji yacht were focus puller (and skipper!) Ben Chads, DPs Ray Coates and Baz Irvine, Martin Brierley (director from Infinity Films), Eric Van Wyck (director of Harry Nash Film Productions), clap- per loader Charlie England, Paddy Payne (film editor from Razor Films) and focus puller Julian Pugh-Cook.
Their participation would not have been possible without the help of Fujifilm, Arri Media, AFM and Harry Nash Productions. ■
Planet Thanet
P lanet Thanet is a project fund- ed by the Children’s
Community Fund in Thanet, Kent – in collaboration with Thanet Music Action Zone and
local screen agency, Kent Hothouse. The project is aimed at girls and boys under 13 and will demonstrate
what girls and boys can do, when working with creative professionals like a choreographer, a video director and an art director.
The director is Jes Benstock who has worked with artistes such as Richard Ashcroft and Catatonia.
The production designer is Imogen Hammond who has created the look of some recent pop promos including So Solid and Oasis.
The director of photography is Ed Mash who has worked on numerous promos and has also shot commer- cials for Sony, Hyundai and London Underground.
Fujifilm donated all motion picture colour negative stock for this project. ■
