Archdeacon William Gunning - Vicar of the Holy Rood and Archdeacon of Bath
JamesVenables was followed as the vicar of the Holy Rood by the Archdeacon William Gunning. Born in Kent in the late 18th century, William Gunning not only became the vicar of the Holy Rood but was also the Archdeacon of Bath from 1852 until 1860. In addition to the Vicarage at Buckland Newton William Gunning and his family also resided at Stowey in Somerset.
Archdeacon Gunning was the vicar of Holy Rood from 1850 to the year 1860.
