The Reverend Canon Wedding of Henry Ravenhill Henry Ravenhill (cont) and Emma Everett
In the year 1866 Henry Ravenhill The wedding of the Reverend Henry
married his wife Emma in Warminster.The 1871 Census document for Holy Rood Vicarage shows them living at their grand Buckland Newton house with their cook Harriet and a house and parlour maid called Sarah.
Ravenhill and his wife Emma was reported in the Salisbury and Winchester Journal of Saturday 21 April 1866. It was held at St John’s Church,SuttonVeny.

Henry Ravenhill was described as the younger son of “Mr Ravenhill of Ashton House” while Emma the daughter of “the late Mr Everett of Greenhill”.The newspaper went on to say that “the high and well-deserved esteem in which both families are regarded in the neighbourhood and throughout the county invested the occasion with an unusual and very sincere interest”.
