Ruby Bennington — Governess
During the early 20th century Helen Grace Field and Edward Theodore Field had their own governess, a lady by the name of Ruby Bennington.
Ruby Bennington was born in Durham circa 1888.Also living with Ruby at theVicarage in the year 1911 were a 21 year old housemaid called Rose Arter and a 19 year old kitchen servant named Winifred Martin.

Long Term Residents of Buckland Newton Place
As with the Ravenhill family before them, the Field family went on to become long term residents of the Vicarage, living at the house for almost 30 years.
