I understand that some of you are concerned about Flat 9 not being included, but it's because over the years the law has changed regarding the fact that their lease belonged to Dorrington and they were the under-leasee. Therefore, no full lease was ever granted. However, this has no consequences regarding our purchase of the head lease because they are directed by the same rules as the rest of us.
As I said before, we would have to form a limited company where all the leaseholders contributing would be shareholders. We need 50% - minimum 5 leaseholders - and I understand the people interested currently
are:
- Christopher Pemberton (Flat 8) - Paul Constable (Flat 7)
- Segar Karupiah (Flat 2)
- Michele Sigg (Flat 5)
The others:
- "Flat 9"? (Please could Paul advise)
- Samia Riad (Flat 4) - I understand that you do not have real interest, but in terms of money it would not be very costly given it is the means of being involved in the decisions regarding running the building.
- "Flat 1"?
-"Flat 6"?
-"Flat 3"?
One final point is that I do not think that we the existing managing agent have exceeded themselves in running the building, and I can certainly think of a couple of people who can improve on the services. I
don't know if everyone feels this way, but I thought it would be useful to put my opinion out there.
3) Re: Exentension of our existing lease
I am having some calculations done, and will let you know at a later stage what it would cost those of us
who have not done it yet to extend our leases.
