Jody Muston, that lens flare was going to be part of ‘the look’.
We learnt that the low con filter meant we were very susceptible to flare but as a DP once said to me ‘if the source (in this case the windows) is in shot, it’s not flare.’
I’m in negotiations for my sec- ond feature, and I’ll always keep Tom Hanks’ cup by the video assist!
