                                                   Made In Budapest
Goodbye Moira
    AGOOD
dapted by John Wrathall from the late CP Taylor’s
powerful 1981 play,
Good tells the story of
a fine, upstanding man who, together with his ideas,
is corrupted by the Third Reich in Germany.
Filmed in Budapest, doubling for Berlin, the film stars Viggo Mortensen, Jason Isaacs, Mark Strong, Steven Mackintosh, Jodie Whittaker, Gemma Jones and Ruth Gemmell.
Directed by Vincente
Amorim and produced by
Miriam Segal, Good was shot entirely on location by Andrew Dunn BSC on 35mm, ETERNA 500T and ETERNA 250D using Panavision equipment. The film was processed in Hungary with DI in London at Lipsynch, and prints by Technicolor.
Said Amorim: “Good is everything you don’t expect from a period
film set against such a calami-
tous moment in history. It’s
colourful, exciting, funny and utterly relevant. This film involves us in the buzz of a nation on the rise where any- thing is possible and ‘good’ people get caught up in a stampede that is heading over a cliff.”
Accompanied by his
regular operator Gerry
Vasbenter and 1st AC Dermot
Hickie, Dunn, now filming in New York, noted, “I had a very happy, ful- filling and fruitful experience shooting in Budapest.” ■
