Corporate giving and volunteerism are essential to CHFA’s mission. In 2018, we forged new partnerships and
maintained ongoing support of many community organizations. By working together, we are able to help more

latino community foundation of colorado statewide forum
CHFA was proud to be a premier sponsor of the Latino Community Foundation’s Telling Our Story
Forum. The annual forum addresses an issue that is pertinent to the community. In 2018, the forum
focused on civic power in Latino communities.
housing colorado now! annual conference
As the largest affordable housing event in Colorado, Housing Colorado’s NOW! Annual Conference,
attracted more than 850 stakeholders who work to advance affordable housing. CHFA was proud to
be the presenting sponsor of the event and participate in several education sessions.
like it forward 2018
CHFA’s fourth annual social media giving campaign, Like It Forward, raised $2,650 to support Care
and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, which provides food to over 280 hunger-relief agencies
throughout southern Colorado.
staff volunteerism
Whether individually or through group activities, CHFA staff volunteered more than 1,100 hours of
community involvement in 2018. Some group efforts included:
Home Builders Foundation (HBF) Blitz Build: HBF’s Blitz Build gathers more than 200 volunteers to
build 20 residential wheelchair ramps over three days. In 2018, a team of eight CHFA staff members
built a wheelchair ramp for a veteran from Larkspur.
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver: Twelve CHFA staff members assisted Habitat staff in
repairing and rehabilitating a home for a Denver family experiencing low income.
Mount Saint Vincent Home Zoo Day: A group of 10 CHFA staff members partnered with Mount
Saint Vincent Home to take several children, who have experienced abuse and neglect, out for a fun
day at the Denver Zoo.
