Now we need to refine our answer. At this

point, we will probably need to look back at
our notes about the topic being discussed.

When you already answer the question be sure
of setting your claim (or opinion) about the
topic inside the “Why” responding.

Remember that our thesis sends the reader off into our essay not just knowing
what you we are going to write about, but how we are going to make our case.

In other words, we want to give our reader a little bit more direction.

Conclusion

Before we finish refining your thesis, we need to know

which examples from the Topic are going to help us to
make our case.

For this, we might look at the way the meaning of our
topic or problem affects to our audience.

Finally, here are some questions that will help us to reach a good thesis
statement: Am I really saying all I could be saying with my thesis? Am I

really saying it in the clearest possible way? Or are my examples leading me
to tweak my thesis and say something a little different, a little deeper?
