Bob Wigersma – Used Flag Disposal
• John Shwiner reported speaking with Bob who informed him that the Flag Disposal Box located at Rocky’s has
been removed and refurbished by Bob.
• Bob has worked closely with the SFNC who is continuing to allow the proper disposal of the flags.
• The number of flags deposited has increased substantially.

John Shwiner – Public Relations
• Great Charity Challenge – Have not been chosen a winner. Drawing extended to February 26.
• Several “Legion Resolutions” have been established, with each Resolution consisting of several pages. John has
researched software called “Flip It” which will transform pdf files into a magazine format. Minutes, New
Member brochures/magazines, Resolutions, etc., in a magazine format and easily distributed to members via
email/html format would be beneficial. Checked with Philip Levine, Webmaster, who said the Post is entitled to
this service for posting to the web page but not for individual distribution. The cost of Flip It, is approximately
$300 and John requested approval to order the program. Motion made by Bill Bartels to purchase the “Flip It’

program for $300. Mike Pancia – 1 approval, followed by Larry Williams – 2 the motion. No further
discussion…motions against…Motion Passed.
• John is in contact with the Village of Wellington to notify our Post of the availability to conduct “live” meetings,
in accordance with any CDC restrictions in place at the time of availability. Not available at this time.
• Bill Bartels discussed conducting the Monthly Member Breakfast at Post 268, Riviera Beach at 10:00 a.m. John
Shwiner will contact the Commander of the Post to discuss arrangements for the last Saturday of January.

• Tom Wenham is looking for assistance to work with the Village of Wellington, who is looking for
recommendations to assist two veterans. Tom and Jim Napuli have interviewed the veterans
and are working on recommendations. David Roman announced that he would offer assistance, as well.
Tom Wenham will reach out to Bill or John to inform of the amount of funding needed.
• Post 390 has paid for two Post 398 (prisoner) 2021 dues at $20 each.
• Motion by Bill Bartels to move discussion of the Building Funds to the Unrestricted Funds at the next

• Without the fundraiser Golf Tournament, a motion was made by Bill Bartels to utilize a maximum of
