The Coalition for Children was organized December 4th,1995 with
an avowed purpose to bring to the children of the western
communities, i.e. Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Loxahatchee and
the Acreage programs presently extant throughout Palm Beach
County and the State of Florida.

In this regard the Coalition for Children has succeeded beyond
all expectations bringing to 800 second graders the Junior
Achievement Program; cooperating and bringing to fruition the
successful Shadow Program in cooperation with the Wellington High
School; instituting a program to enhance the self esteem 6f our
female students; cooperating with the Tough Love program and
formulating instrumental training for our youngsters.

The Coalition has increased its sights for the ensuing years.

John Z. Shwiner, from the very inception of the program, has
devoted his acumen and energies to its success. He has been
reliable in every regard by accepting responsibilities and
fulf illing them.

John has been one of our cornerstones. His organizational and
planning skills have helped to lay the groundwork for the
Coalitions accomplishments. He is precise and analytical in
his approach' to resolving our problems.

As Coordinator for the Coalition for Children I espouse John
Z. Schwii'ier for Village Manager for the Village of Wellington.
His intelligence, skills, resolve and his ability to work
well with people consummately f ill the requisites for the
position of Village Manager.
