New Equipment

My two favorite new equipment dealers are Dansereau and DCI. Dansereau is a direct to
dentist manufacturer of equipment. For the DYI or semi handy, this will yield thousands in
savings. The chairs will arrive in large boxes and need some assembly and hook up. The
stools are a breeze to put together and in the office I assisted on the install ,I was greatly
impressed. 3 ops brand new for about 25K is hard to beat.

DCI is another American made manufacturer of equipment sold thru authorized dealers. The
operatory packages are at a great price point compared to the big box dealers. The price
points on both of these make it very comparable to brand name reconditioned packages found
on eBay.

Used/Reconditioned Equipment

Dental equipment is generally very well made and durable with a significant life span. Because
of this I am fine with reconditioned equipment. The savings here can also be substantial.
Especially late model used. It is like buying a used car that is 2 years old. Let the previous
owner take the significant haircut on the immediate depreciated loss of value.

I have found a good online resource that has created a niche in used equipment. I asked them
to create a couple of start up offices for my class. They not only supplied the equipment lists
with pricing but also several examples of office plans. I think your major equipment such as
chairs, lights, and x-rays can easily be found here and with office layout help.
