ADRA implements development and emergency programs around the world
through 134 offices, initiatives designed to collaborate with people in need and
achieve positive and long-term change. We have been working with the local com-
munity in 17/26 provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 1982.
BUREKA was carried out through multi-sectoral activities with the goal of increas-
ing individual and community resilience and strengthening community cohesion
for peace. The interventions of this project have allowed us to document the mul-
tisectoral process of improving the living conditions of the population of Kamonia
and Kanzala” funded by USAID/BHA to reduce the population’s vulnerability to
the humanitarian crisis and aggravating factors in general; led by ADRA through
the strengthening of intra and inter-community, structural, and institutional links
so that the communities can enjoy a more protective environment.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the donors USAID/BHA, who trusted us to carry out
this project. We want to thank the beneficiaries who welcomed us on the ground
and expressed their gratitude for the project’s impact on the community.
