• Reading improves concentration and reduces stress
Research has proven that just 30 minutes of reading can lower your blood pressure,
heart rate, and feelings of psychological distress. Being able to concentrate and focus
for long periods is essential to our success and wellbeing. Not only does reading
focus your attention entirely on the task at hand, it also immerses you in the
information, improving concentration and memory of what you read. Just as
mentioned above, reading develops your imagination and creativity. Through reading
stories which interests you, wherein there are variety of genres to read, can also help
you concentrate and reduce stress. Getting completely involved in a book can help
us relax and feel calm.
