4. Language features
                   1. Using simple present tense
Procedure texts often use the simple present tense to describe
the steps in a process or how to do something. This tense is
marked by the use of base verbs (verb 1) and sometimes the

                        averb "to be" (is/are).
                        Example :
                           • "Mix the dough until it is smooth."
                           • "Pour the water into the pot."
                           • "Add some salt to taste.”
                   2. Using imperative sentence

Procedure texts frequently use imperative sentences, which are
commands or instructions given directly to the reader.
                        Examples:
                           • "Mix the dough until it is smooth."
                           • "Pour the water into the pot."

                           • "Add some salt to taste."
                   3. Using Action Verbs:
Action verbs are used to describe the physical actions that need
to be taken in each step.
                      Examples :
                          • "Put the chicken in the oven."
                          • "Cut the vegetables into small pieces."

                          • "Fry the onions until they are golden brown."
                   4. Using Connectives (conjunctions):
Connectives are used to sequence the steps in the procedure,
making it clear what happens first, next, and last.
                      Examples:

                          • "First, preheat the oven."
                          • "Then, add the sugar."
                          • "After that, stir the mixture continuously."
                          • "Finally, serve the dish while it's hot."
