Sonoma County families can turn to charities, schools, and government agencies among other places for assistance at the holidays. What may be provided to income qualified families ranges from toys to games, food, and hot meals, with some seniors or the disabled able to have items delivered to them.
The goal is to reach out and provide Holiday assistance to less fortunate families. Even if it is just one toy and a small meal, the goal is to help as many children and others as possible. These non-profits in Sonoma County do rely on donations from the local citizens and local businesses, so please give back whenever possible.
Call an agency to apply for help. First come - first served basis.
Salvation Army Santa Rosa Corps, 93 Stony Circle, Santa Rosa - 707- 542-0981. Families with children under the age of 15 can apply for Adopt a Family. Presents, meals, small toys, and more is provided in Sonoma County. There may also be case management and financial aid as well.
Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa, 987 Airway Court, Santa Rosa - 707- 528-8712. Christmas and holiday meals are for seniors. Low income parents, single moms, and disabled may be given toys or small presents as well.
Redwood Gospel Mission, 1821 Piner Road, Santa Rosa. Children, teens, and families in the shelter can take part in meal programs.
