Factory - Children learn about the origins of this delicacy as they try their hand at crushing cacao beans of their own. Then, using an “ancient” secret gelt recipe, participants get cooking as they mix, pour and wrap their own special chocolate coins. The fun keeps going with a STEM inspired project, combining lights, wires and action. hours of creativity and community. Creating together is a supportive and healing experience, so lets spread hope and love in our community by giving the crafts we make in class. Each student will make three Duck Egg ornaments collaged with beautiful hand-made Japanese paper. Extra materials will be available for sale.
Barbra will show techniques to make a Memory Box and other easy holiday gifts using handmade paper. Perfect gifts for our friends who lost so much in the fire.
Cost is $35, all materials included for the eggs ornaments. Children 10 and up are welcome. Please bring any small cardboard jewelry gift boxes for the Memory Box.
