This is an ambitious hike for those who want to see the entire rim of the park and enjoy lunch, and the spectacular vistas. Caring Connections - Seniors At Home has expanded our older adult visiting program to provide more intensive support to those seniors with a history of mental health issues. Through one-hour weekly visits, volunteers help seniors engage more fully in their communities. As a volunteer, you’ll be working on specific goals to help your client combat isolation, loneliness, and depression. Training and ongoing support will be provided. We will learn basic identification and characteristics of waterfowl found in Sonoma County and along the Laguna de Santa Rosa at different times of year, and learn about the great Pacific Flyway, of which the Laguna is an important stopover for migrating waterfowl.
