Zero Waste Sonoma &
Bye Bye Mattress Team Up
for a Free Three-Day Mattress Collection Event
The Mattress Recycling Council’s Bye Bye Mattress Program
As I write this close to the end of February, I am astonished by the fact of NO rain at all this month! In fact a summery swath of 70-plus days has caused many flowering trees, shrubs and yes daffodils to adorn our yards and by-ways. The large redwoods outside of my airy cyber-hut are a bit dusty and the hillsides by the river are very green and very dry.
I hope that you have all voted in the March 3rd Primary
Election. Not voting guarantees that you have no right to complain! Some pundits have claimed in the past that voting just encourages the scoundrels! Some truth there, but you may also vote them out!!
The students at he Montgomery Elementary School will have their Spring break from March 16-20, with classes resuming on March 23rd. Preparation will then take place for the annual state testing.
The regular monthly meeting of the Cazadero Community
Club will resume on Tuesday, March 10th-7 p.m. at Firehall #1. Please join your neighbors in organizing great events which benefit the entire community! Annual dues are low: $15.00 for Individuals and $25.00 for families. Club mailing address is P.O. Box 3, Cazadero California, 95421 to mail in your dues or donations.
and Zero Waste Sonoma are coming together for a FREE three-day mattress collection event in Graton for Sonoma County residents.
Only mattresses, box springs, and futons that are not excessively damaged,
twisted, wet or soiled will be accepted at no-cost for recycling. Three-unit max per vehicle per day.

The Mattress Recycling Council was formed by the mattress industry to operate recycling programs (known as Bye Bye Mattress) in states which
have enacted mattress recycling laws – California, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Since its inception in 2016, the program has recycled more than 4 million mattresses in California through a network of partnerships with local governments, solid waste facilities, nonprofit organizations and small and minority-owned businesses throughout the state.
