Ramadan is a very important month in our past and in the Quran.
In the second year of the Hijra, fasting became obligatory for Muslims.
The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was first
revealed in Islam.
With these features, the month of Ramadan is welcomed with
enthusiasm in all Islamic countries and special prayers, fasting and
tarawih prayers are performed for this month.
The main purpose of Ramadan is to teach people patience and sharing.

charged an allowance. Thus, the month of Ramadan has a very
important place in our traditions.
