Design Need
◦ In hierarchy of design need, functionality come first
before reliability. The design of the product must meet
basic functional needs even before being able to
perform consistently.
◦ Later, Usability comes in to play. The term of usability
can be simplified as making a product easy to use.
◦ Creativity is one of the last aspects of design in
hierarchy of design need. If the creativity criteria is
achieved although the criteria of useable, reliable,
functional product are not accomplish, the product is
still not acceptable in the market. It is important to
ensure that each criteria must fulfill based from the
most biggest weightage at the hierarchy of design
need.
