Design consideration

1. Economic and production factor.

ensure that standard the designer must have access to stock list of the

material they employ. Rush order for a such size may add to expend and

delay. Designer should make special effort to specify part that are readily
available.

ii. Large tolerance – large tolerance can be produce using by machine with

higher production rate and the cost will significantly smaller, easily to
assemble

iii. Breakeven point – comparing two or more design approaches cost.it

depend on condition such as quantity of product, the speed of assembly
line. Then occur a point corresponding to equal cost which is call breakeven

point

iv. Cost estimate – comparing two or more design cost. The design with smaller
number of part is likely to cost less. Many other cost estimators can be used,

depending to application such as area, volume, horsepower, torque,
capacity, speed and various performance ratio.
