Identification of need



        1. Identification of need generally starts the design process.


             Recognition of the need and phrasing the need often constitute a

             highly creative act, because the need may be only a vague

             discontent, a feeling of uneasiness, or sensing that something is not

             right.

        2. MASLOW ‘S HIERARCHY OF NEEDS : In the 1960s, Abraham Maslow,

             an American psychologist, developed a hierarchical theory of

             needs.  This hierarchy had the basic human needs at the bottom,

             with the needs concerning the highest human potentials at the top
