Main criteria of material selection
Materials selection is an ordered process by which engineers can
systematically and rapidly eliminate unsuitable materials and identify
the one or a small number of materials which are the most suitable.
By selecting inappropriate and unsuitable material will lead to major
destructive and failure of the design itself. Thus, several criteria need
to investigate further in order to select the best material to be used
in certain deign and product. Some of the criteria are as follow :
