Analysis and optimization
◦ Before deciding which design solution to implement, analyze each
alternative solution against the selection criteria defined in step l.
Perform several types of analysis on each design. Every design
problem is unique and requires different types of analysis. The
following is a list of analysis that may need to be considered; bear in
mind that the importance of each varies depending on the nature
of the problem and the solution.
