Supervisor of Internal Technicians SCorporate
teve was scheduled to meet me the morning of January
th
15 in Barrington. He sent me a text telling me he
was going to be late due to a house fire at a neighbor’s property, and that he could not leave because of all the fire equipment. When he arrived later that morning to Barrington, he humbly told me how he had assisted the rescue efforts prior to his text. The residence that was ablaze housed an elderly couple with an older dog. Steve went into the home and assisted both the couple and dog out of the house before the flames and smoke increased. The older gentleman was on oxygen, so knowing that this would be problematic, Steve escorted him away from the flames and assisted with the neighbor’s breathing. He acted quickly, heroically, and humbly!
