Throughout COVID, while many of us have been working from home, Robyn has organized a weekly Peloton ride
to keep many of us connected. She utilized this group as a platform to stand up and support a cause she believes strongly
in. Robyn offered to donate $5 to the Know Your Rights Camp for every person who clipped in for one of our Wednesday rides. The mission of the Know Your Rights Camp is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders. Robyn’s offer sparked a chain reaction where person after person decided to match Robyn’s donation. All
in, 17 people matched Robyn’s $100 donation, so collectively
we donated $1,800 to this great cause. Robyn could have made
a donation on her own and still made an impact. Instead, by putting herself out there in support of an organization that means a lot to her, she was able to pull in 17 other individuals to support her and KYRC. If anyone else was like me, they were unaware of this organization and thus were educated on the important work they do and what they want to achieve. Thank you, Robyn, for your leadership, and for your commitment to Do the Right Thing.
