LET’S SEE WHOSE DAY I CAN RUIN...
Ahh, yes... that’s it.... Wuahaha!!!!
Struck-by injuries are injuries produced by forcible contact or impact between a person and objects or equipment in motion.
STRUCK-BY HAZARDS
They happen if a person is hit by a flying, falling, swinging, twisting or rolling object.
Rolling Object
If the impact of the object alone caused the injury, it is a struck-by injury.
This makes sense! So even if a person is crushed by an object, it counts as struck-by?
So how can we avoid these types of hazards?
By slowing down and using
to recognize potential hazards before an event occurs, of course! Especially during routine tasks, interrupt your fast brain and pause what you’re doing. Engage your slow brain....consider:
Flying Object
Falling Swinging Object Object
Twisting Object
Meanwhile, at fmc...
Exactly. If the impact alone causes the injury, it’s struck. If
the injury is the result of being crushed between objects, it’s caught.
