After a very successful Voices of the Future program in Yokohama, Japan, the
Voices of the Future Secretariat in Singapore hosted by the NYAA Council
of Singapore sprang into action to raise the bar of the program. To give the

program an official identity, the Voices of the Future was renamed the APEC
Voices of the Future.

The APEC Voices of the Future Secretariat immediately followed-up with a

VOICES OF THE FUTURE logo competition to design the APEC Voices of the Future logo. More than 180
entries were submitted from the 21 APEC Member Economies. The judging
panel comprised of professionals from the design industry. The winning entry
RENAMED APEC VOICES was from Malaysia.

In 2011, the APEC Voices of the Future was officially recognized as the official
OF THE FUTURE youth program of the annual APEC Leaders’ Week by the APEC Secretariat in

Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. The APEC Voices logo was adopted by the APEC Voices
Leadership Council in 2011.
